Judy Katz, an advocate of children, lives by the philosophy,
Public service is the rent we pay for the space we occupy on earth. Since
moving to Buffalo in 1968 with her husband, Leonard Katz, M.D., Judy has been an active
volunteer and a member of two school boards - the Williamsville School Board for 15 years
and the Erie #1 Boces School Board for 19 years of which she currently serves as vice
president.
Judy has been President of the New York State School Boards Association. She is a Board
Member of EPIC, the state-run prescription program for senior citizens, and serves as
Chairwoman of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women.
For the past four years, Judy has served as Vice President of Community Relations for
Weinberg Campus, a senior citizens complex in Amherst.
